With the forecast calling for rain all day, it couldn't have been more wrong! And I have the sunburn marks to prove it! Around 150 cars and lots of traders braved the elements early on to see the sky over picturesque Kiama change from grey to blue - scorching heat the new order of the day.
Whilst the massive crowd wandered through all kinds of makes, models and styles of cars, Chasing Kharma were playing a great mix of music keeping the masses entertained.
There were plenty of stand out cars in attendance including the blown/EFI Pro-Touring Pontiac Firebird; Joe Psaila's stunning MR FC FC Holden; Kevin Johnson's newly repainted '28 Ford Roadster and more EH's than you could poke an 'S4' badge at! But it was Steve Kerr's part-number perfect Bathurst HK Monaro restoration that scooped the major award and the $500 that went with it.
With continuing good weather, this event will grow to become one of the biggest, if not the biggest, car show held each year in the Illawarra region. Surrounded by Kiama's harbour and family friendly shopping, it's a perfect spot to spend a sunny sunday with your family and cool car in tow.
